Going Green

MassCann / NORML is working to reduce the carbon footprint of our Organization and The Boston Freedom Rally. We are encouraging the community to assist our efforts! We are teaming up with Beantown Greentown to make sure that MassCann is able to keep Bean town a Green Town!

The organization is developing new procedures and protocols regarding the operation of the Boston Freedom Rally, including a recycling program, plastic restrictions, waste reduction initiatives, clean-up incentives for attendees and more.

Our Organization is adopting new “Greener” methods to lessen our environmental impact. We will be investing in new products and technology to prevent unnecessary waste created by old processes. The Organization will also be hosting public service events to grow the initiative while educating the public about sustainability.

MassCann ‘Jars’ exhibition is a showcase of sustainable packaging created by local artists. This exhibition is a fundraiser to help our Organization create a recycling program at the 30th annual Boston Freedom Rally. The ‘Jars’ exhibition featured various designs and forms of jars and packaging products. Our friends from Restash, Pot Pockets and moodmats provided us with products that aim to reduce the impact on the environment with reusable products made from natural or upcycled products.
