Cities and Towns With Public Consumption Laws through December 31, 2009

The following is a list of cities and towns that have adopted their own laws and the text of those laws.

City ordinances become effective within 30 days of mayor's approval.

Town bylaws become effective only after AG approval.

The Attorney General is required by statute to review all Home Rule charters, charter revisions, and charter amendments proposed to the voters of all Massachusetts cities and towns, as well as the by-laws adopted by Massachusetts towns.
