Barney Frank to rally for legalizing pot on Boston Common

Congressman Barney Frank will rally for legalizing marijuana on the Boston Common Sept. 15.

According to the Massachusetts Cannabis Reform Coalition, the six-hour rally in addition to featuring food and music, will offer education about a 2012 ballot question legalizing the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes and efforts to push for full legalization and regulation of marijuana in Massachusetts.

Other speakers, according to MassCann, include Dr. Lester Grinspoon of Harvard Medical School, Boston Phoenix writer Chris Faraone, National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws founder Keith Stroup and Jack Cole, a former police officer and founder of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition.
