Masscann will be walking for cancer again this year! Team: AntiEmetics
For those who have been treated by cancer, or who have supported a family member or loved one fighting cancer, the North Shore Cancer WALK is more than just steps that count up to miles. It is a celebration of community, of caring, and of confidence in cures yet to come. Moving together through – and beyond – life’s roadblocks will once again inspire thousands of people to join together for the annual North Shore Cancer WALK.
On Sunday, June 25, 2017, mothers, fathers, children, grandparents, friends, co-workers, teachers and students will wind their way along the 10K (6.2 mile) WALK route through Salem. For more than two decades, the North Shore Cancer WALK has brought together a community focused on raising funds for the fight against cancer. To date, we have raised a remarkable $21 million. This year that mission will again be celebrated, as entertainers and supporters along the route lend a festive air to an unforgettable journey, driven by determination and inspired by hope.
Proceeds from the WALK will support oncology services at North Shore Medical Center and the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center. In the past, WALK contributions have supported renovations, clinical trials, wellness services such as massage and acupuncture to help alleviate pain and nausea, as well as supportive care programs for patients and their families.
