Niki Smokes Casts a Spell on Salem City Council

The Salem City Council, meeting on October 10, considered a motion that would have added layers of bureaucracy and delay to the process of setting up a dispensary in Salem, but defeated it after emotional testimony from Nicole Snow Dawson, known to many MassCann members and other activists as Niki Smokes.
Niki testified how cannabis finally brought relief to her husband Tom after prescribed medications for his neurofibromatosis had side effects more horrendous than the pain they were supposed to relieve.
